Second Edition, Revised and Expanded

Swami Veda Bharati

This newly revised and expanded version of Philosophy of Hatha Yoga is a clear and easy to follow introduction to hatha yoga, and an indispensable resource for any student of yoga. In this popular and unique work, Swami Veda Bharati emphasizes the paramount role of hatha yoga beyond its use as a system of physical exercise.

Through the framework of raja yoga and the eight limbs of yoga, this study outlines how the practice of hatha yoga can serve as a means to understand the subtler essence of mind and prana that prepares one for meditation and the awakening of kundalini shakti.
