Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD

The life of Swami Rama is one of the most inspiring spiritual journeys of our time. Swami Rama of the Himalayas is a celebration of a remarkable yogi who lived selflessly in service to humankind. Written with love and insight by his student, Pandit Tigunait, this coffee-table volume contains a wealth of photographs, biographical details, and quotes from Swamiji on a variety of topics.

This book leads the reader through the corridor of Swami Rama's life, providing a glimpse of who he was and giving a sense of what he meant when he said, "Where life ends, the mystery of love begins." It is the most comprehensive portrait of his life to date.

The photographs in this book span Swami Rama's life from his late teens to his last days in 1996. Through these pictures one is able to see Swamiji through the lens of the many roles he played as a seeker, saint, scientist, teacher, humanitarian, and sage. Most of these photographs were not intended for publication; they were taken by those who wanted to preserve memories of their encounters with Swami Rama.

In concert with the valuable photographs, this text brings Swami Rama's life and mission into focus, making this commemorative volume an invaluable contribution to the body of spiritual literature.

With the help of this book I can imagine how much more was He than we experienced. Blessed are those who know Him. I am not, but this book is such a gift. Great book from a great Man. Thanks.
